Doing something creative and different this Valentine's Day can help show your partner just how incredible and loving you are. The below list is perfect for if you are single, hanging out with friends or in a relationship.

1. Go on a trip or be a tourist in your city


Use Mr Google to find romantic and new places in your city or a nearby city. Take your partner on a slow walk, take some cute pictures and take this time to talk.


2. In-door date


Set up a romantic date at home by cooking or ordering in. This is a simple way to make sure you save a lot of money, whilst creating amazing memories in your home. It also makes it easier to end the night (wink wink).


3. Take a scenic drive


Find a picnic basket, a great playlist and fill your tank and take a scenic drive close to where you live. There is something cute about driving that allows you to open up and talk and also just stepping in and out of the car at scenic locations can be sooooooo exciting.


4. Breakfast in Bed


Find out your partner's favourite food, wake up a little early and wake up to a beautiful plate of heaven. This can be a great start to the day as this can give you the perfect start to your day.


5. Play a game


Playing can be a great way to connect with your partner. Pick one like truth or dare, the game of cards, or even chess or do a treasure hunt.


6. Make a playlist for each other


So you do not need to get a disc or cassette like in the olden days but you can use whatever social platform you most love and create a playlist that is romantic, fun or happy for your partner. Simply, create a story using music like Beyonce.


7. Take a Hike


If your partner loves the outdoors or you have both been talking it, plan a cute little scenic trip. Pack a bag, and some favourite drinks, put on your hiking shoes and wear something comfortable about the weather.

If you live in a part of the world where the stars shine bright going outside for simple stargazing might be a great way to celebrate valentines. Get a blanket and some favourite snacks and enjoy.


9. Create a scrapbook of your relationship


Get old memories, tickets, old photos and anything meaningful and create a mini scrapbook showing your partner how much you care. This can create a beautiful memory that both of you can keep to the core.


10. Bake something together


Gather your dusty bowl and your spatula and get baking. This is a great way to spend time together and spend more time with your significant other whilst testing your team skills. Afterwards, you get to enjoy a sweet and delicious treat, well hopefully.

After all, you can not go wrong with a love letter. Express to your partner how you love them instead of writing a simple card. This can be a great way to show them how much you appreciate them, as you and elaborate on their uniqueness.

Grab some popcorn (your partner's favourite flavour) settle on a comfortable couch with a huge blanket and wine and enjoy. Either watch some new movies, old favourites or some juicy romcoms. This is a sure way to get some cuddling in.

When you have been with someone for a while it is easy to note what they really like. Pay careful attention in the next few days or ask what they want.


14. Create a meaningful treasure hunt.


Think Gone Girl but super romantic. Have some cute clues and maybe little presents along the way with a big surprise at the end.


15 Take a bath together


Create a quick bubble bath with candles, rose petals, some strawberries, wine and of course some romantic movies. If you're single bring a steamy book.


16. Get some wine and chat with your loved one


Open a good bottle of wine and get some simple snacks and take this opportunity to have a cute little chat. Simple, cute and romantic.


17 Give him/her a massage (or each other)


Alright, grab some oil, candles and play some of your favourite soothing music and get naked. Give them more than 20 minutes of a well-deserved relaxation technique.

Making/suggesting this list can be a beautiful way to show your loved one that you intend on staying with them for a long. Watch the movie on the bucket list if this helps. This is more of a higher-end date for those that can afford this. Simply rent a super cosy cabin and surprise your partner.
